It can be said that in many ways 2013 has been the saturation point as far as web designing is concerned. After taking a look at things in this New Year, it seems everyone is taking a step back and making things far less complex. Simplicity seems to be the motto in 2014. ‘Mobile friendly designs ‘

Mobile technology underwent some serious changes in the last couple of years. The changes that it brought about have been staggering and one that had a profound effect on many things. Many web designers have made it clear that responsive web designs (RWD) seem to be the order of the day. With the sale of smart phones expected to increase even more, it is not that hard why it is becoming so. Moreover, this year the number of mobile hits is touted to surpass the desktop hits meaning, there is paradigm shift happening and many are setting themselves to embrace the new world order.

‘Scrolling sites on the way up’  

Since smart phones and tablets and similar device are conquering new frontiers, it is only sensible to make the sites that on par with such devices. Scrolling sites are increasing in numbers as they work with swiping. In 2014, it am turn out to be the year of such sites.

This is something that most of did not predict. The new versions of HTML seem to have people in a confused state.  People are still wondering whether to make the change or stick with the old ones.

However, since it is much easier to share pictures and videos than text and they help to capture the interests better, they may really take off.
